  • Trust Aid to the Community
Having secured and matched grant aid from Pollokshields Area Partnership the Pollokshields Burgh Hall Trustees were pleased to fund a Feasibility Study for a proposed redevelopment of the former depot in Maxwell Park. This was satisfactorily completed in 2020 and comprises a Pavilion with a café, public toilets and a community room as well as a car park to reduce parking on Glencairn Drive. With positive feedback from the City Planners the Pollokshields Burgh Hall Trust has now commissioned and will fund the architects O’Donnell Brown to submit a full planning application for the development by the end of January 2021. While the Trust looks forward to a planning decision on the project, it is financially unable to fund future phases, though hopes that others might take the project to its realisation.
